Libraries Need Friends!
Through membership dues, book and bake sales, and donations, the Mancos Friends of the Library provides funds for library programs, technology upgrades, and misc. needs.
Annual Friends fundraising events include the Valentine’s Day Bake Sale; the Mancos Days Book Sale with a Friends-only presale and social; and a mini Holiday Book Sale. We occasionally hold a spring book sale. We also host the runners’ food booth at the Library’s Cowboy Half Marathon.
The Mancos Friends of the Library was incorporated in 1987 with a board of five. A predecessor organization was called the Library Supporters Association.
The 2023 Board consists of Anne Benson, President; Ann Coker, 1st Vice President; Cathy Seibert, 2nd Vice President; Laurie Webster, Treasurer; and Tulli Kerstetter, Secretary. We hold elections annually in September.
We meet the first Tuesday of every month at 4 p.m. at the library. Our meetings are open to all, and we invite you to join us.
