10 Year Anniversary Celebration

The Mancos Friends of the Library hosted the celebration of 10 years in our beautiful library on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019. Chris and Kim Lindell entertained us with their indie acoustic-electric pop, folk-rock. Koko Smith had us laughing and crying with her hammered dulcimer performance. Pastor Craig Paschal told a story. And Midge Kirk read passages about libraries and a bit of history from her book They Persisted. Patsy Smith, the Library Director before and during the construction process, spoke as did current Library Director Lee Hallberg.

A hundred or so library lovers turned out to help us celebrate with cake (from Absolute Bakery and Cafe) and ice cream.

Here’s a slide show of the day.
